The Verbier Festival, the globally acclaimed pinnacle of classical music, will make its grand debut in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China from January 30 to February 8, 2026. Embrace the “Shenzhen Rendezvous” with the world’s preeminent classical maestros for an unparalleled celebration of music. Centered around the theme “Echoes Across Mountains and Seas”, the festival is aligned with the vision of elevating the vitality and quality of cultural and tourism consumption, establishing a “world-class hub for performing arts” that leads the Greater Bay Area and sets a national benchmark with global resonance. With the guidance and strong support of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports of Shenzhen Municipality and the People’s Government of Longgang District have jointly organized and facilitated the exclusive three-year residency for the Verbier Festival in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It aspires to establish a new benchmark for live classical music experiences in Asia. Shenzhen Concert Hall and Shenzhen Longgang International Art Center will join forces with the Verbier Festival and Wu Promotion to bring the iconic event outside Europe for the first time, establishing its new home in Shenzhen. This groundbreaking collaboration will present global music lovers with “A Tale of Two Cities” where classical traditions merge with contemporary expression, creating a new bi-national arts partnership that gathers in Verbier during the summer and convenes in Shenzhen (known as Pengcheng) each winter. Marking its debut in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, the Verbier Festival will feature 21 high-quality concerts, 7 masterclasses, and a rich array of cultural exchanges, creative interactive activities, and other supporting events over 10 days.
